Help me make a difference in our community while becoming a better rower!
Why you should support me:

I am a senior at MHS and a competitive rower for Manhattan Junior Crew. I am also committed to row for KU in the fall of 2023! Rowing has made such a tremendous impact on my life. I began rowing as a sophomore, and it changed so much about how I live. First, it helped me through a dark time in my life and made me physically and mentally healthier.

Through rowing, I also grew closer to my best friend and crew mate Hailey. We are now rowing buddies and we love rowing in a pair together! I have grown closer to all of my teammates and coaches, too. I love them all endlessly.

Our team is set on going to youth nationals this year, and I have been training hard with the team to become an even better rower. Through fundraising and your donations, I will be able to continue to pursue this dream! Every dollar counts! Thank you so much for your consideration!
How to Help
There are two ways to help me raise funds for our local charity and for my spring break training camp:
Option 1: Make a pledge per 100m…
Fill out this form to pledge an amount of money based on how far I can row in one hour on Saturday 4 February!
Most pledges are between $0.10 and $1.00 per 100 meters since rowers average 12,000 and 16,000 meters in an hour-of-power.
Example: If you pledge $0.50 per 100m and your rower logs 14,000m on the day, you’ve donated $70. After the event, we will contact you with payment options for your total using the email you’ve entered in the form above.
Option 2: Make a flat donation now.
To make a flat donation via Paypal, click the button below, select MJC and put “Kathryn Borthwick” in the notes box on the second page. Please make sure you do this so we know who you want your donation to support!
