Help me make a difference in our community while becoming a better rower!
What is Row For Humanity?
How does it work?
On Saturday, May 8th, our rowers will hold a “row-a-thon”! Each person will see how many meters they can row on a machine in one hour. Prior to the event, participants will gather donations from family, friends and neighbors. People can pledge a dollar amount per 100m rowed by their favorite rower, make a flat donation, or just come and watch this feat of endurance!
How is the money divided?
Our rowers donate at least 25% of the donations they raise to the Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity. The rest of our proceeds will offset the costs of the Summer season and/or the costs of competition travel.
Why you should support rowing!
Hello friends & family! This is Kathryn! In the September of 2020, I was encouraged to join our community’s junior rowing crew by a friend. I decided to go for it, & it was one of the best decisions I could’ve ever made. Since then, rowing has become a passion of mine, & I’m currently involved in my third consecutive season of rowing on the competition team. It is a time commitment, but it is so worth it! I’m fully submerged into our amazing rowing team & I love it!
As spring season on the rowing team continues, & with summer season just around the corner, I hope to continue to improve on the team & compete even more. By donating to me, you give me the ability to continue my passions on the rowing team! Also, donating supports the community of Manhattan too! Please consider donating!!
