Kathryn Borthwick

Help me make a difference in our community while becoming a better rower!

Why you should support me:

I joined the Manhattan Junior Crew rowing team in September of 2020, and boy, was it one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! As of early 2022, I have completed 5 consecutive seasons of rowing and am in the midst of my 6th. I see no signs of stopping either! Rowing has become such a huge part of my life, as it completely changed my physical, mental and spiritual health. I am 35ish pounds lighter from where I was in the summer of 2020. And just as important, I now have such an amazing rowing family to row, work out, and die with.
Coming up is our rowing team’s annual spring break trip. We will be traveling to Waco, TX, and rowing…a LOT. Along with that, is the cost of the trip. I ask that you pledge to donate to me at this Row For Humanity so that the cost of this trip and other upcoming dues will become more feasible. But more importantly, money raised from this event will support the Manhattan community through the Flint Hills Breadbasket. Please consider pledging!

How to Help

There are two ways to help me raise funds for our local charity and for my spring break training camp:

Option 1: Make a pledge per 100m…

Fill out this form to pledge an amount of money based on how far I can row in one hour on Saturday 26 February!

Most pledges are between $0.10 and $1.00 per 100 meters since rowers average 12,000 and 16,000 meters in an hour-of-power.

Example: If you pledge $0.50 per 100m and your rower logs 14,000m on the day, you’ve donated $70. We will contact you at the email above after the event with payment options for your total.

Option 2: Make a flat donation now.

To make a flat donation via Paypal, click the button below, select MJC and put “Kathryn Borthwick” in the notes box on the second page. Please make sure you do this so we know who to apply your donation to!
